No! Since the extensions are applied to your natural lashes away from the base, never touching the skin, the growth cycle of the natural lash is not affected. We do not use thick or polyester-based lashes that can harm your lashes.

The accuracy in the application at Mallyna® is also key to maintaining the health of your natural lashes, and of paramount importance to us.

Depending on the skill level of the stylist, a The Mallyna®-Certified Stylist will take between 2 to 2.5 hours to apply a full set of extensions, depending on the type of lash extension used – synthetic or genuine mink.

Yes – the eyelash extension adhesive we use is top quality and almost fume-free, approved for cosmetic use and safe for your eyes. It is also very long-lasting. The eyelash extensions we use at Mallyna® are the highest quality available, with the lengths and thicknesses specially customized to suit you! All equipment is thoroughly disinfected before each use. We use masks for hygiene, practice thorough hand-washing and sanitizing between clients.

● Do not get your lashes wet for at least 24 hours after application;

● Avoid intense workout and using a spa, sauna, pool, tanning for the first 48 hours after eyelash extensions were applied;

● Avoid oil-based products as they can break down the adhesive;

● Avoid rubbing, picking or pulling your eyes;

● Avoid using Waterproof eyeliner/mascara;

● Avoid using an eyelash curler;

● Avoid wearing Strip lashes;

● Try to keep away from the high HEAT (ex: BBQ grills, ovens);

● Please keep lashes clean by regularly washing with oil-free foaming cleanser.

You will first sit down with one of our experienced lash stylists for a brief consultation. She will examine your natural eyelashes and discuss the look you want to achieve. After this conversation, you will take a seat on one of our comfortable beds, where you can listen to music. Your lash stylist will cover your lower lashes for protection, then begin the process of individually bonding extensions to your natural lashes. The procedure is safe, painless and relaxing – so much that you may find yourself drifting off! At the end of the procedure, your stylist will remove the protective covering from your lashes and give you a first look at your new eyes.

The Mallyna® semi-permanent extensions can last for as long as you maintain them. To maintain the look, Re-Lashe appointments are necessary every 2 to 4 weeks to replace the lashes that have shed or outgrown naturally. Our adhesives are formulated to hold the lash in spite of water, heat, steam or sweat, and can keep up with your busy lifestyle.

For clients with sensitive eyes, please send an email to schedule a patch test at least 48-hours in advance of your appointment. This will assess for any allergic reactions to the adhesives and serums used during the service.

If any reactions occur, please contact your lash technician immediately or seek medical attention. You will need to provide medical clearance before proceeding with future lash appointments.

We recommend getting refills every 2 to 4 weeks. If you wait too long your extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Factors such as exposure to humidity, steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall quicker.

Refills can take from 45 – 60 minutes, depending on the state of your remaining lashes. A good sign of when you need a refill is when your extensions are 50%-60% gone.
